Welder - Quality

Shift - 3rd (11pm - 7am) Sunday - Thursday

Pay - $19.06/HR (OT required)

Job Purpose/Summary:
• This role is a quality role to make sure the robotic welding machines are accurately MIG welding
• To operate welding equipment to make inserts for polyurethane and rubber panels according to specifications.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Reviews job orders for specifications of materials required for production. Inspects components to ensure parts are within tolerance before starting the job.
• Able to set up adjustable welding jig according to print or select jig from the rack.
• Inspects the first piece to ensure correct quality specifications are met.
• Responsible for making minor adjustments to the program, if necessary. Checks the last piece to ensure the correct specifications have been achieved.
• Performs changeovers of tooling and ensures the correct program is installed.
• Maintains good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in work areas.
• Required to scan work orders into ERP system to record daily output.
• PPE must be always used.
• Performs related duties as required.

Skills/Certifications:
• Welding experience preferred
• Read blueprints
• Calculate measurements

Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:
• High school or GED diploma
• 0-1 years of work experience with computer machinery
