Structural Fabricator
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow Safety Rules and Regulations
• Read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols
• Use hand tools, tape measure, grinder and cutting torch
• Basic understanding of ASTM-A6 tolerances
• Install run-off tabs when necessary
• Read pre-heat and inter-pass temperature tables and use temp-sticks
• Recognize and repair visual defects such as excessive porosity, overlap and lack of fusion
• Use fillet weld gages for measuring fillet welds
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides for measuring instruments and hand tools
• Set and maintain welding equipment per DSCO welding procedures including regulation of voltage, gas and wire flow rate for proper penetration and fusion of metals
• Obtain maximum weld while avoiding distortion and excessive weld at joints
• Other duties as determined by Supervisor

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safety 24/7/365
• Team player by working with various departments and employees
• Follow Safety Rules and Regulations
• Learn to read and interpret shop drawings
• Basic use of hand tools, tape measure, grinder and cutting torch
• Use BOM (Bill of Material) list to locate material
• Performing entry level types of operations and functions in fab production, such as, but not limited to, parts sorting and moving material and parts
• Learn to handle materials with forklift and overhead cranes
• Get it Done by learning to juggle competing priorities in order to accomplish the job
• Other duties as determined by supervisor
