TRS Craft Services is immediately seeking Site Managers for our client, an international provider of high-quality event services and structures.

Scope of Work
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager or onsite assigned field manager performs duties as assigned within designated work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may be expanded as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Customer Service
  • Will make contact with client upon arrival at event site
  • Will address any questions or concerns the client may have
  • Problem solves to ensure client satisfaction
  • Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency
  • Problem solves with staff to maintain production schedule
  • Recommends new products and methods to increase capacity, profit and employee/customer satisfaction
  • Performs final walk through and creates punch list

Manages a staff of personnel
  • Required to supervise up to four team on event site
  • Recommends staff for promotion and pay increases
  • Ability to discipline staff
  • Reports hours for all staff members
  • Ensures proper training of staff
  • Communicates with Logistics Manager/EM any issues with personnel or loading to optimize efficiency for warehouse and/or events
  • Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency
  • Supervise long-term installations
  • Participate in site/job planning
  • Perform daily tool box talks

Safety
  • Complete knowledge of company safety procedures and programs
  • Responsible for reporting any accidents associated with job or personnel
  • Insures that all employees adhere to company and OSHA safety policies

Load and unloads material within the warehouse or at the event site
  • Responsible for loading/unloading trucks while ensuring all material handling processes are adhered to

Keeps accurate records
  • Notes changes to customer contracts such as additional inventory delivered or services performed and communicates information back to appropriate manager
  • Completes driver logs and follows all DOT regulations if applicable
  • Update and maintain job folders

Knowledge
  • Ability to install tents up to 50m in width with the exception of Uni Flex
  • Ability to install all custom structures
  • Advanced understanding of carpentry skills
  • Complete knowledge of frame tents, pole tents, Maxi Flex tents, and Ultra Flex tents
  • Intermediate knowledge of Uni Flex tents
  • Complete knowledge of installation of fully leveled floor
  • Ability to read and understand all diagrams and floor plans

Education and/or Experience
  • Relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Previous experience as a Crew Leader

Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one setting or within a group atmosphere to other employees of the organization.
  • Fluent in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Other Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to drive box truck
  • Forklift certification which includes certification of a 10,000 lb. forklift
  • Aerial Work Platform Certification
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to read a tape measure using both metric and standard measuring systems
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time with short notice
  • Ability to work extended periods
  • OSHA 10 and 30 Certified

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work at elevated heights
  • Work in all weather conditions and dress accordingly for weather

Work Environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to set priorities and juggle multiple tasks, particularly in a fast paced, deadline-oriented production environment
  • A positive and cooperative attitude
