TRS Craft Services is immediately seeking Event Foremen for our client, an international provider of high-quality event services and structures. This is a permanent position.

Scope of Work: Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who deliver and install event equipment including but not limited to structure, staging, dance floor, tables, chairs.

Customer Service
•      Will make contact with client upon arrival at event site
•      Will consult with management to address questions or concerns the client may have
•      Ensure complete satisfaction of client
•      Help ensure JPE budget is followed.

Supervises a staff of personnel
•      Required to supervise multiple teams of both client and sub-contracted crew members on event site
•      Report crew hours daily to operations support email group
•      Communicates with Logistics Manager/PM any issues with personnel or loading to optimize efficiency for warehouse and/or events
•      Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency
•      Problem solving for staff to maintain production schedule
•      Handles on-site employee conflicts and reports them to management

Safety
•      Complete knowledge of company safety procedures and programs
•      Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents associated with job or personnel
•      Ensures that all employees adhere to company and OSHA safety policies and that all appropriate safety gear is up to code and utilized correctly

Supervise loading and unloading of equipment at the job site
•      Responsible for loading/unloading trucks while ensuring all material handling processes are adhered to and BOL process is followed
 

Keeps accurate records
•      Notes changes to customer contracts such as additional inventory delivered or services performed and communicates information back to appropriate manager
•      Reports all shortages and second runs to structures operations email group

Knowledge
•      Ability to install tents up to 25m in width
•      Basic understanding of carpentry skills
•      Complete knowledge of frame tents, pole tents, Maxi tents, and Ultra Flex tents
•      Basic knowledge of Uni Flex tents
•      Complete knowledge of installation of fully leveled floor
•      Ability to read and understand basic diagrams and floor plans

Education and/or Experience
•      Relevant work experience
•      High School Diploma/GED preferred
•      Previous experience as an Lead Installer
Language Skills
•      Fluent in English
•      Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Other Qualifications
•      Valid driver’s license preferred
•      Forklift certification which includes certification of a 10,000 lb. forklift
•      Aerial Work Platform Certification
•      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
•      Ability to read a tape measure using both metric and standard measuring systems
•      Ability to travel for extended periods of time with short notice
•      Ability to work extended periods including evenings, weekends and holidays when required

•      Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
•      Ability to work at elevated heights
•      Work in all weather conditions and dress accordingly for weather

Work Environment
•      Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
•      Ability to set priorities and juggle multiple tasks, particularly in a fast paced, deadline oriented production environment
•      A positive and cooperative attitude
