TRS Craft Services is immediately seeking Crew Leaders for our client, an international provider of high-quality event services and structures. This is a permanent position.
Scope of Work: Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who deliver and install event equipment including but not limited to structure, staging, dance floor, tables, chairs.
Customer Service
- Will make contact with client upon arrival at event site
- Will address any questions or concerns the client may have
- Problem solves for the client to ensure complete satisfaction
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Prioritizes the steps of the installation for maximum efficiency
- Problem solves for staff to maintain production schedule
Supervises a staff of personnel
- Required to supervise crew up to eight people on event site
- Reports hours for all crew members
- Communicates with Logistics Manager any issues with personnel or loading to optimize efficiency for warehouse and/or events
- Ensures crew is properly trained for all on site work performed
- Handles on-site employee conflicts and reports them to management
Safety
- Has extensive knowledge of company safety procedures and programs
- Responsible for immediately reporting any accidents associated with job or personnel
- Ensures that all employees adhere to company and OSHA safety policies
Load and unloads material within the warehouse or at the event site
- Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and other material handling equipment
- Works with Site Manger or Project Manager if applicable to ensure all BOL’s are checked on both incoming and outgoing loads
Keeps accurate records
- Notes changes to customer contracts such as additional inventory delivered or services performed
- Completes daily time sheets and submits in timely fashion to Logistics
- Responsible for tracking of all tools and other company property on site
- Responsive to Logistics/Project management in all other requests
Knowledge
- Ability to install tents up to 25m in width
- General knowledge of Amerispan tents
- Basic understanding of carpentry skills
- Complete knowledge of uniflex structures and installation
- Basic knowledge of installation of a fully leveled floor
- Complete knowledge of all frame tents and general knowledge of pole tents
- Ability to read and understand basic diagrams and floor plans
QUALIFICATION

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma/GED or relevant work experience preferred
- Previous experience as a general laborer
- Fluent in English
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.
Other Qualifications
- Hold valid driver’s license- preferred
- Hold or ability to obtain forklift certification and MEWP type 3 A/B, and classes IV, V and VII
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time with short notice
- 50+ hours per week which includes weekend hours

- Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Work in all weather conditions
- Occasionally required to work non-traditional shifts; early or late starts and possible overnight work

- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to set priorities and juggle multiple tasks, particularly in a fast paced, deadline-oriented production environment
- Ability to handle constructive criticism, as well as establish achievable goals to foster growth
