Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Job Description Summary
Performs facility maintenance duties on a planned schedule or as-needed basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Performs emergency repairs, scheduled and preventative maintenance on a variety of building
physical structures, equipment, and system components.
Reviews assigned work orders for corrective repair work, determines the nature of problem, and
executes appropriate solution.
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring the
highest level of customer satisfaction.
General repair and maintenance duties include:
o Ceiling tiles, egg-crates, t-bars, walls, kick plates, etc.
o Repair or replacement of door locks and hardware.
o Replace light bulbs.
o Repair or replace bathroom fixtures.
o Auguring of interior sanitary drains.
o Replace floor tiles and carpet.
o Contain water leaks by installing portable diversion devices.
o Find and repair roof leaks on rubber and PVC roofs.
o General housekeeping duties in the work areas and shop.
Ability to use ladders and operate scissor and all terrain boom lift.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Experience: at least 2 - 8 years in maintenance industry; pay commensurate with experience.
Education: high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to complete heavy physical labor (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 40 lbs.)
Previous experience with personal fall protection equipment and confined space entry a plus.
Prior experience with automatic ADA and fire door hardware preferred.
Familiarity with metal and pipe fabrication equipment a plus.
Clean room environment maintenance/construction training desirable.
Skills
Basic knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in building maintenance activities.
Basic problem-solving skills
Appropriate communication skills
Ability to interface with customers as needed
Ability to work occasional overtime or on-call as required
Basic computer skills
