Position: Heavy Equipment Hydraulic Field Specialist
Location: Harrison, OH
Shift: Days
Travel requirement: Overnight field travel 60% of the time
Pay rate: Competitive Pay DOE
Per diem: Provided when traveling overnight

TRS Craft Services is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Hydraulic Field Specialist for client in Harrison, OH. In this position, you will inspect, repair, troubleshoot, perform maintenance and PM's of heavy equipment hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic systems in heavy equipment
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems
- Replace hydraulic hoses, pumps, motors, valves, and other components as needed
- Perform troubleshooting to identify hydraulic system failures and implement effective solutions
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
- Adhere to and support client’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience in repairing hydraulic heavy equipment
- Strong analytical skills, able to understand equipment manuals and blueprints
- Rigging experience would be a plus
- Expertise in other construction equipment- aerial lifts (gas, electric & diesel), skid loaders, mobile cranes, rough terrain, forklifts, excavators, light towers, air compressors, generators, etc. is helpful.
- Requires a professional and customer service demeanor always be displayed
- Able to overnight travel 60% of the time
- A valid driver’s license, good driving record
- Able to perform physical requirements of the job, including, but not limited to lifting, climbing, being on your feet for extended amounts of time and at times working in inclement weather are needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Requires a professional and customer service demeanor always be displayed
- Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work with little direction
- The selected candidate must supply own repair tools, bench or larger tools/equipment supplied
- As the workload dictates, some overtime (including weekends) will be required

Based on the type of equipment we work on, the job requires physical and labor intensive, i.e., heavy lifting, climbing on equipment and grinding out of position. Individuals will be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, climb step ladder, engage in repetitive motions, and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination. Close vision is required for this job. Employees are required to regularly lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Position frequently demands light to heavy physical work. All positions require standing over 90% of the day.

- This position is based in a shop or field setting to include working on customer and project sites.
- Role involves working alone and collaborating as part of a team. Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
- Environmental conditions include frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise, and humidity.
- Occasionally the performance of this position will require exposure to production/manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection or hard hats. The noise level in the production/manufacturing areas is usually loud.
Travel/Other Requirements: Overnight field travel required 60% of the time. Availability as requested/required for after-hour emergency calls, necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
