TRS is seeking Warehouse Associates for full time opportunities in Augusta, GA For an established Family owned PVF Company!

This is a first shift position and both Distribution and Delivery skills are mandatory.

About the Job:

Distribution Responsibilities Include:

• Checks all material received via Motor Freight Carriers, UPS/FedEx or customer returns.
• Pulls orders for shipment from warehouse and pipe yard inventory utilizing order picker or forklift equipment.
• Stages and prepares orders for shipment while ensuring the items are packaged neatly.
• Completes all shipping paperwork and computer entry promptly monitoring closely for any quality discrepancies.

Driver/Delivery Responsibilities Include:

• Loads & Secures orders onto Eastern vehicles.
• Maintains Daily Truck logs including all safety and pre-trip checklists.
• Delivers orders to local customers and other Eastern Distribution Centers.
• Maintains phone or radio contact with the supervisor to communicate delivery instructions or updates.
• Inspects truck equipment & performs emergency roadside repairs when needed.

Qualification requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Follow instructions for operating equipment
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
• May be required to use RF scanner gun

Physical demands and abilities

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
