Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Review repair needs of each item to assess the cost effectiveness of the repair
• Determine parts needs and request parts orders as inventory gets low or as specialty items are needed
• Repair tools to proper working order
• Perform maintenance testing (after repair) to ensure the product is operating at full capacity
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
• Adhere to and support Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Working Conditions
• Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
• Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels
Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
• High School diploma or global equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in construction equipment industry, including vendor training
• Physically able to hold, repair, and adjust small tools Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out, lift 70 pounds, carry 50 pounds, and use a 10 pound sledge hammer (or global weight equivalents)
• Moderate knowledge of tool craftsmanship and repair techniques, including electrical, air, hydraulics, lifts, and gauges
• Ability to obtain internal forklift license
• Ability to safely load and unload tools for shipping and repair
