Operations Specialist

Monday through Friday
Potential overtime:
Saturdays

Position Summary
The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting daily manufacturing operations and ensuring smooth workflow throughout the facility. This position serves as a cross-functional resource, helping eliminate production bottlenecks, coordinating work between departments, and providing hands-on support wherever needed. The Operations Specialist works closely with welding, fabrication, powder coating, assembly, shipping, and production teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
- Start daily operations activities at 6:00 AM and assist with production planning and workflow coordination.
- Monitor production schedules and identify potential bottlenecks before they impact delivery timelines.
- Support welding, fabrication, powder coating, assembly, and shipping departments as production demands require.
- Coordinate movement of materials, parts, and work orders throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work directly with supervisors and team leads to prioritize work and maintain production flow.
- Assist with staging materials and ensuring departments have the resources needed to meet production goals.
- Perform hands-on manufacturing support duties as needed, including assembly, material handling, and general production tasks.
- Track project progress and communicate delays, shortages, or quality concerns to leadership.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Assist with inventory, production documentation, and workflow tracking.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration between all departments.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, production, operations, or industrial environments preferred.
- Understanding of welding, fabrication, powder coating, assembly, or related manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and proactively address production challenges.
- Comfortable working in multiple departments and performing a variety of tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
