Powder Coater / Painter in Greenville SC

Position Summary

The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to ensure a high-quality, durable finish that meets production and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other pre-treatment processes.
• Apply powder coating to metal parts and components using spray equipment.
• Ensure proper coating thickness, color consistency, and finish quality.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Load and unload parts from curing ovens while monitoring curing requirements.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and production specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and work areas.
• Maintain production quality standards and complete required documentation.
• Safely handle materials and move parts throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with production, fabrication, and assembly teams to meet deadlines.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous powder coating, painting, or industrial finishing experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of coating preparation and application techniques.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform quality inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
