Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician
Mechanical Electrical Experience
POSITION REPORTS TO:
Maintenance Manager ~ Directly / Team Leaders ~
Daily Coordination
BASIC FUNCTION: Performs various maintenance duties of the facilities, shop, and equipment. Monitors the required inventory supplies for the maintenance department. Maintains waste materials according to regulations. Prepares various reports as needed. Coordinates daily work with the Maintenance Manager and Facility Manager.
At various levels of experience, the functions of this position may be as follows:
• Basic daily preventative maintenance. Record keeping for maintenance, and inventory review. Basic knowledge of safety regulations and requirements.
• Monitor operations of equipment. Process waste materials. Work with contractors on maintenance jobs to assure the job is complete.
• Proficient in all areas of maintenance. Handle equipment inspections, breakdowns, and repairs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Weekly
• Handle breakdowns of all equipment
• Conduct weekly preventative maintenance on equipment
• Follow safety policies and monitor safe operations of all equipment
• Conduct maintenance safety inspections of all machines/equipment including safety devices, interlocks, cutoffs, synthetic slings, paint pump/containers bonding/grounding
Monthly
• Complete and submit records for the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Review preventative maintenance inspection results and follow up with repairs of the facility, equipment, hoists, forklift, vehicles, trailers, etc. as needed
• Maintain and store universal waste materials including light tubes, oil, truck batteries, etc., per regulations
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies
• Complete and provide records for Monthly Air reporting on process equipment monitoring and repair
• Complete checklist of PM for permitted processes – Dust Collectors
• Collect and correctly store materials for universal waste: light tubes, oil, truck batteries, etc.
• Maintain fall protection equipment, monitor inventory and supplies; requisition as needed
• Conduct electrical safety inspections, cords, leads, cranes, hoists, etc.
Annually
• Conduct annual Inspections and follow-up repairs of equipment, grounds, buildings, etc. as needed
• Assist with annual safety regulations and requirements as needed
• Coordinate and follow “Hot Work” permit procedures
• Assist with electrical safety implementations as needed
Other duties
• Coordinate equipment breakdowns
• Obtain materials for maintenance as needed per management approval
• Work with suppliers and contractors to assure maintenance jobs are completed to DSCO standards
• Review and monitor DSCO safety with onsite contractors
• Complete tools inspections for employees bringing in personal tools; ongoing responsibility to observe/monitor tools and report concerns or violations to supervisor as needed
• May be assigned to various duties as seen fit by Maintenance Manager during maintenance slow times
• Various duties as assigned by management as needs arise
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting, Bending, and Standing for long periods of time
Ability to work at heights greater than 10 feet.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2 years’ experience with industrial electrical and mechanical repairs, including CNC machinery, or equivalent maintenance experience.
Knowledge to comprehend company and government safety regulations.
Must have reading, writing, and verbal skills to comprehend Company Maintenance and Safety regulations.
Knowledge of facility inspections, checklists, basic filing, and recordkeeping processes.
Ability to work productively and complete assignments without direct supervision.
Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The ability to drive a forklift and man lifts as needed is required.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Needs to have the ability to use Welding and Cutting Apparatus.
Good communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary.

OSHA 10-hour training program
