CNC Machinist Lathe

CNC Machinist needed in Spartanburg!!

1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday

Pay: $18.00-19.00 Depending on Experience

Programming Skills preferred but not required.

Candidate must know how to operate a CNC Lathe & brake press.

Skill requirements:

Must be able to analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.
Must be able to determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.
Must be able to computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to machine part.
Must be able to write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine. Must be able to writes program of machine instructions to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
Must be able to compare computer printout with original program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions.
Must be able to revises program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions. Must be able to observes operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instructions.
Responsible for training new machinist participating in the training or apprentices program
Responsible for providing technical support to other machinists
Responsible for operating machine on as needed bases to cover emergency work, vacations, and on complex jobs that require advance level skills
