I am looking to hire a Chemical/Maintenance Tech for a company in Greensboro, North Carolina for a leading specialty chemical company! Schedule is 12 hr shifts 6:30 to 6:30. on a 3 -2 – 2 – 3 schedule, 2 weeks of working days (6:30 am to 6:30 pm) then 2 weeks of working nights (6:30 pm to 6:30 am) You will get paid Overtime!!
Entry level candidates are also accepted!
Chemical Experience is a big plus!
Maintenance Experience is great to have as well!

Job Summary
Perform prescribed diverse duties to control, monitor and operate process equipment and plant processes for an individual plant. Includes sampling, field operation, process safety, personal safety, environmental compliance and product quality.
Essential Functions
The order of the Essential Functions does not reflect a level of importance or priority.
· Monitor assigned area continuously for proper equipment operation and product quality.
· Perform prescribed plant checks during the shift to insure propel operation.
· Monitor equipment and report any leaks, malfunctions, or unusual noises, or other problems.
· Operate various pieces of equipment used in the processing of a product.
· Perform prescribed cleaning procedures.
· Complete production and environmental records as required.
· Perform specific plant functions as described in the plant specific “task list”.
· Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner; observe all company safety regulations and work rules.
· Perform prescribed Q. C. sampling of raw materials, in process materials and/or finished product.
· Assist other plant personnel in troubleshooting.
· Cross train on other Chemical Operator duties in other related plants.
· Perform minor maintenance duties.
Accepts responsibility for his or her own safety and health. Performs assigned duties in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment. Follows operating procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally protective workplace. Observes and reports all incidents and unsafe conditions. Takes an active interest in improving safety and environmental protection.
Working Conditions/Physical Effort
· Physical mobility and agility required.
· Requires working in a rotating shift environment including weekends and holidays.
· Requires adequate physical strength to perform the essential job tasks (for example, ability to lift
50 lbs. without mechanical assistance).
· Exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example, twelve hour shifts).
· Sensory faculties needed to safely perform the job duties that allow a person to react to potential or immediate hazardous conditions and to take appropriate action.
· Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection, safety harness, and full protection suit as well as common protective or safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
Education/Experience/Skills
· High-school education or equivalent.
· Technical training preferred.
Multiple duties involving a variety of procedures requiring judgment in handling routine work

Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
