TRS CRAFT SERVICES has a Quality Control Inspector position with our client in the Northwest Houston area.
All job responsibilities are to be executed in harmony with our Quality Procedures, the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct policy and our Core Values, which sets the standard by which we operate and how we treat others.
- This position is responsible for ensuring that parts meet all tolerances, specs, mechanical properties, as well as documenting all non-conforming features and characteristics

- Attendance and punctuality are expected upon accepting this position
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures (steeled toed shoes, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment that is required must always be worn while performing job)
- Maintain high ethical standards
What You Will Do
- Inspect parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to drawing and prints
- Understand and follow verbal and written instruction
- Perform incoming inspection for supplier product in accordance with industry standard AQL sampling plan
- Assure that manufactured products meet quality control standards, engineering specifications and customer requirements
- Participate in investigation and disposition of nonconforming products and returned goods
- Read and interpret material test reports and heat treat / mechanical certs
- Demonstrate a personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately
- Initiate corrective action requests when conditions are averse to quality
- Complete, inspect and distribute all quality records and documents, as necessary
- Participating in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Oracle or similar ERP system
- Must be familiar and able to use inspection equipment including Calipers, Mic’s, Bore gauges, Optical Comparator, Hardness Testers, Height Gage etc.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, work with limited direction
- Must be able to read and interpret material certs and heat treat / mechanical certs
- Knowledge of assembly inspection, testing and manufacturing
- Knowledge of Machine Shop In-process Inspection, ECN Process and GD&T
- Knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing processes
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment with a high degree of accuracy, strong organizational skills as well as excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Oracle and Adobe
- Maintain confidentiality and have high ethical standards
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within and across work groups
- Must have a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of Industry Standard Requirements (ANSI, ASME, ISO 9001, etc.)
- Operate and program CMM (knowledge or FARO/ROMER arm a plus)
Shift: 5AM to 1:30PM Monday through Friday, with some daily overtime and weekend work possible
