Job description
Provide leadership and direction in support of achieving compliance initiatives. All business activities are conducted lawfully and with integrity. Comply with all applicable employment / labor laws, regulations, and guidelines. Comply with Company code of conduct and conduct all business with integrity. Raise issues or concerns through appropriate supervision. Our manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, SC.
Responsibility/Job Requirements:
• Responsible for Plant and Warehouse safety, including but not limited to:
• Review safe work procedures with every employee.
• Conduct at least 4 JHA s per year.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Complete end year review with employee self-evaluation.
• Ensure employees have proper safety equipment for jobs being performed.
• Ability to use SAP 4 HANA proficiently.
• Conduct periodic audits (safe assessment) of activities involving the safe work permit process and ensure flawless execution.
• Ensure customer satisfaction/quality.
• Ensure all requests are entered into LMS (customer orders, silo management, recycle, warehouse transfers.)
• Manage any changes to the schedule and challenge violators of schedule deadline.
• Support trials and volume increases due to business change.
• Coordinate resources in trucking, railcar inventory to meet schedule plans.
• Provide supervisory guidance for offsite storage facilities.
• Ensure proper invoicing to customer.
• Determine deficiencies in current workforce and help develop and implement plans to improve.
• Establish clear improvement plans with expected timing. Hold persons accountable for meeting improvement needs.
• Set expectation for Logistics Clerks and Warehouse Operators, Chiphouse and Recycle areas
• Complete Daily Supervisor area audits.
• Ensure routine jobs/check sheets are correctly filled out. i.e lift truck inspection sheets
• Review / Approve Carrier invoices for payment.
Expectation:
• Maintain certification to QAKE standard.
• Schedule and conduct assessments to identify and close gaps - ongoing
• Merge existing management systems with QAKE requirements and keep it simple and effective.
• Manage the following activities to ensure effective and timely identification, communication, and resolution of issues.
• Action Plans for Area Gap Assessment(s)
• Audit Reports (from converter, their customer, etc.)
Education/Skills/ Experience:
• Bachelor s degree in related field or Highschool diploma with related experience.
• 7-10 years in manufacturing/railroad/warehouse logistics experience.
• PET experience a plus, but not required.
• Problem Solving/Analytical skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with team members.
• SAP 4 Hana experience.
• People management skills.
