Job Title: Financial Analyst / Staff Accountant
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Employment Status: direct hire / salaried
Pay: $75-80k DOE
Industry: Manufacturing

• First Priority

o Catch up and maintain bank and GL account reconciliations
o Prepare supporting monthly schedules by using SAP downloads
o Assist with financial audits and collection of data
o Variance analysis on a monthly reporting basis
o Prepare documentation request using SAP system
o Create Excel pivot tables and use various Excel formulas and functions (knowledge and use of sumifs, vlookup and xlookup)
o Budget and forecasting assistance with creation and updating of models
o Development of Cost Accounting analysis
o Creation of journal entries for submission of approval and entry to SAP


• Second Priority

o Assist with review of the financial statements and associated general ledger accounts, complying with GAAP and company policy
o Responding to customer and vendor requests from CFO or other executives
o Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP, and internal policies and procedures using SAP and Excel
o Research Accounts Payable issues
o Accounts Receivable and sales reporting for the office
o Research as necessary Accounts Payables vendors issues
o Responding to management financial information request

Staff Accountant Qualifications
• College degree in Accounting or Finance
• Preference for MBA or CPA certification
• ERP experience with a preference to SAP
• Skills in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook. Benefit with PowerPoint
• Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
