Turret Operator
We are seeking aTurret Operatorfor our client in Aerospace component manufacturing. The Turret Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Amada CNC turret punch press machines to produce precisely cut and shaped metal parts according to customer specifications, blueprints and quality standards, ensuring efficient production, mineral waste, and adherence to safety protocols. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based out of Corona, CA. Monday – Friday. 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Reports to Production Manager and other management personnel, working in an aerospace manufacturing environment under AS9100 quality system.
Requirements / Must Haves:
2+ years of turret or punch press experience; preferably in Aerospace.
Ability to read Routing Report instructions and carry out directions.
Blueprint reading
Good penmanship
Computer literate
Tools required: Micrometers, Calipers, other
Job Duties
Machine set up, program and operate Amada punch presses for drilling, punching and forming operations.
Blueprint reading to interpret engineering drawings, sketches and CAD/CAM files to understand job requirements and specifications.
Manage tooling to align appropriate tools, punches and dies in the turret.
Load programs, make adjustments (including G-code edits) and optimize machine performance.
Load sheet metal, secure fixtures and unload parts.
Perform in process inspections, check dimensions with measuring tools and run test parts to verify quality and accuracy.
Set each job up based on Routing Report instructions and Job engineering drawings
