Machinist
We are seeking a Machinist for our client in Aerospace component manufacturing. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based out of Corona, CA. Monday – Friday. 7:00AM – 3:30PM.
Requirements / Must Haves:
5+ years’ experience at conventional machining, aerospace preferred
Experience with manual milling, lathe, shear, and surface grinding.
Ability to set up and run machines to achieve very tight tolerances.
Familiar with a wide variety of precision measuring equipment to inspect own work and validate drawing features for compliance.
Excellent shop math skills.
Must have your own full set of tools.
Job Duties
Perform set-up, layout, and run Conventional Machinery such as Shears, Lathes, and Mills.
Determine cutting tools to be used, method of holding, and machine speeds and feeds for different materials such as stainless steels, aluminum, brass and composites.
Determine the process of milling, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, slotting and profiling shapes.
Deburr and clean parts as required for in-process and/or 1st Article Inspection.
Performs general and preventative maintenance on equipment, this includes cleaning, lubricating machines and cleaning and organizing the work areas.
