Shop Foreman / Supervisor Exclusive Listing Temp-to-Hire
This is a hands on shop supervisor position.
Must have experience;
Valves, Compressors, Pumps, Fabrication including repairs and reworks
Working knowledge of Mig and Tig Welding, Manual Machining, Paint Shop, Blueprints and Rigging
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversight of department activities to ensure schedules are being met
· Manage shop activities, provides technical direction and works directly on projects as machinist, welder, mechanic or any other required activity in the production and repair process
· Implements and supports all safety programs
· Ensures personnel are trained and qualified to perform assigned tasks
· Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to machine shop employees
· Establishes or adjusts work sequences to meet production or processing schedules
· Measures team on safety, quality, production, and development in accordance with established KPI’s
· Reviews production forecasts for efficient management of resources
· Assists employees in analyzing and resolving work technical problems
· Performs hands on operation of machinery and equipment to complete projects in a safe, quality and timely manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Minimum of 10 years working on pumps, gear boxes, compressors, and valves,
· Minimum of 10 years working with lathes, mills, welding, and other machine shop tools
· Effective communication skills individually and in a group setting including client contact
· Experience with budgets, estimating, and inventory control
· Read and interpret blueprints in metric and standard increments
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
· Ability to conduct employee training in specifications, procedure implementation, and equipment operation
· Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, team building and problem-solving skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to senior management.
