Painter I – Industrial / Equipment Painter Location: Harrison, OH Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay Rate:$20.00 per hour Experience Required: Minimum 1 year industrial/equipment painting experience Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial/Equipment Painter to support our Harrison, OH facility. In this role, you will be responsible for refurbishing and painting heavy equipment and ensuring high‑quality finishes using proper prep, paint, and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities
Perform all prep, painting, and steam‑cleaning tasks
Use dual‑action orbital sander and complete detailed masking work
Remove and reinstall equipment components (pins, seats, etc.)
Perform scraping, decal removal, blasting, and masking
Mix paint, maintain equipment, and track paint usage
Prep and paint various equipment efficiently and to quality standards
Size and place decals as required
Complete final quality checks
Maintain tools and equipment, perform basic preventive maintenance
Safely operated forklift and lifting equipment
Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications
Maintain service logs, inventory tracking, and accurate documentation
Keep work area clean and orderly
Follow all hazardous‑waste handling and safety guidelines
Communicate effectively with management and team members
Maintain punctuality, reliability, and productivity
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year industrial/equipment paint experience
Experience with dual‑action tools
Heavy equipment painting/refurbishment experience preferred
General knowledge of painting/refurbishment processes
Able to safely operate a forklift (certification required)
Strong problem‑solving, follow‑up, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs, climb, and stand for long periods
