Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and basic hand tools is required. Ability to work independently. Detailed oriented and excellent communicator required. Prior warehouse experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Description:
Inventory Specialist / Machine Operator:
Works under the direction of the Production Supervisor or the Senior Operator. The main function is to hydrostatically test and wash components per standard operating procedures in preparation for assembly. In addition to that, this role will support and fulfill material requirements plans, such as picking parts and creating kits for production orders.
Duties:
• Safely operate shop and warehouse equipment to include but not limited to hydro-testing equipment, forklifts, tag marking machine, pneumatic tools, hydraulic clamp stations, jib/bridge crane, small hand tools such as punches, wrenches, etc.
• Perform hydrostatic testing and washing of components using designated machinery and equipment.
• Monitor equipment operation, adjust as necessary, and report any issues to the senior operator.
• Locate and retrieve parts from designated locations within the warehouse or storage areas.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications against order requirements.
• Inspect pulled parts for damage or defects before packaging and notify supervisors of any issues.
• Coordinate with production and assembly teams to fulfill orders and meet production schedules.
General:
• Communicate any production issues or delays to relevant team members for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Work overtime as required to meet customer delivery dates.
• Other duties may be assigned.
