Logistics Manager

• Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree and 7 years of Transportation and Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain experience required
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and industry standards are essential
• Must have an advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience with SAP and other business process management tools required
• Must have a highly developed leadership, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
Responsibilities
• As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible to direct, manage, and coordinate logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities
• Direct all warehouse and distribution services, including receiving, storage and shipping
• Receive customer orders
• Ensure all shipments are compliant with traffic laws and regulations, in addition to customer requirements
• Oversee recruitment and training of warehouse personnel
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
• Developing, review, and updating of the logistics standard work
• Develop and manage logistics KPIs
• Oversee an accurate inventory of warehouse materials
• Manage the Weigh Master license
• Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients' criteria
• Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
• Negotiate rates with carriers and oversee schedule pick-ups
• Safely performing their job duties
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Responsible for Quality and Food Safety
• Optimize forklift experience
• Communicating with all levels in a timely manner
• Continually improve the operation and maintain Good Housekeeping (5S)
• Act as a member of the facility's leadership team
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Perform any other related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
