Shift: Day Shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday)
Status: Contract
Pay Range: $26 – 28/hour
Per Diem: Not Eligible
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant to manage the daily operations of our toolroom. This role is responsible for issuing, receiving, inspecting, and maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting project goals through efficient tool distribution and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and receive toolroom inventory daily.
- Conduct visual inspections for damage and correct color coding.
- Maintain inventory records and perform daily cycle counts.
- Identify and report items needed to restock the toolroom.
- Operate manual/mechanical material handling equipment.
- Load/unload materials and stock inventory shelves.
- Fulfill orders using RF scan gun and prepare deliveries.
- Perform basic repairs on tools/equipment.
- Comply with hazardous waste handling and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse or toolroom experience.
- Inventory control experience preferred.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with construction tools and consumables.
- Proficient in Excel and general computer use.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities.
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and safety training.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), kneeling, and reaching.
- Medium physical work in warehouse/trailer settings.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and loud environments.
- Use of PPE required in production areas.
Additional Information:
- Flexibility for after-hours emergency calls and overtime as needed.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude.
