We are currently looking for a local Class A CDL Driver for a local Industrial Pipe/Valve Supplier in the Augusta, GA area!

This role is for a Piping, and Valve Manufacturer so while 90% of the job will be on the road, it is helpful to be familiar with Forklift and other Warehouse Operations as the remaining 10% will be in a warehouse! The vehicles will be a Flatbed and a Dually, please only apply if you are familiar with both types of vehicles. Any Warehouse experience will also be beneficial so make sure that is included on the resume as well!

This is a full time position and a valid Drivers License as well as a 10 year record is required! You will be required to speak to costumers when delivering products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Drives truck to destination. Assists customers in material unload and checks material to the customer's satisfaction.

· Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. All log information must be calculated and turned in daily along with all safety and pre-trip checklists.

· Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Ensures deliveries are routed to meet customer expectations.

· Inspects truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Reports all safety issues of the truck. Maintains a neat and clean vehicle.

· Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.

· As needed, also pulls orders for shipment from warehouse and pipe yard inventory including customer and intercompany orders for delivery. Verifies the accuracy of all shipments. Pulls all orders for next day shipment before leaving work.

· Stages and prepares orders for shipment while making sure the items are packaged neatly.

· Completes all shipping paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner and notifies salespeople of discrepancies.

· Other duties may be assigned.

· Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-6 months of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Medical Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. Class A CDL required.

· Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and proven ability to utilize GPS software.

· Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel regionally 90% of the time.

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
