This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.
Scope
The purpose of this position is to perform the essential job duties and functions listed below with the overall objective of consistently providing top-quality, non-technical administrative support and maintaining high standards of excellence while ensuring solid customer relationships.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Work under working supervision and perform a variety of clearly defined tasks and administrative functions, including written and verbal communication.
• Perform administrative duties including schedule management, phone coverage, meeting coordination, report preparation, presentations, correspondence, travel arrangements, expense reports, etc.
• Perform general office duties including mail distribution and creating and maintaining department files.
• Assist with planning functions to include socials, vendor lunches, and specialized training.
• Network with other administrative assistants to strengthen relationships and ensure coverage during absences.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
• Adhere to and support Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.
Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
*These are the typical years of experience required for this job.
Working Conditions
• Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
• Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Intermediate computer, Microsoft Office and software skills including the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
• Basic interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay rate: $26/hr
Day shift- Mon through Fri, 6:30am to 5pm
(50hrs per week)
