Responsible for the repair, modification, and installation of all instrumentation and electrical systems on site as directed by the E&I supervisor.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 Depending on Experience
Day & Night Shifts available!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform correct procedures for ‘lock out’, ‘closed system entry’, ‘confined space entry’, and ‘hot work’ as specified in plant procedures. In addition, the craftsman is required to take all necessary precautions to ensure his own safety and the safety of others.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any equipment failures as they pertain to instrumentation or electrical systems.
Recalibrate, repair or replace instruments as directed.
Makes a visual and auditory inspection of plant operating equipment and corrects problems found during daily inspections.
Install or modify new equipment as assigned.
Keep appropriate personnel notified of changes in plant equipment or modifications to the original design.
Participate in overtime activities as required including down day activities, vacation or illness coverage, or to assist with additional workloads as required.
Perform root cause failure analysis of failed equipment, components or systems
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years or equivalent experience as an Industrial Maintenance E&I Technician, 10+ years preferred.
Chemical Manufacturing experience preferred.
HS diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work flexible hours. Includes both "Day Shift" and "Night Shift" work as needed, as your schedule could change from time to time.
Must meet minimum scores on E&I skills assessment.
Must be able to meet Physical requirements such as:
Adequate physical strength to perform the essential job tasks (for example, ability to lift 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance).
Exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example, twelve hour shifts).
Sensory faculties needed to safely perform the job duties that allow a person to react to potential or immediate hazardous conditions and to take appropriate action.
Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection, safety harness, and full protection suit as well as common protective or safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
Intangible skills – effort level and attitude, not just ability to learn, but willingness to do new things
Quality of work - attention to detail critical for success in this role
Reliability and dependability including time management
Self Motivated
Good communication skills – verbal & written
