Chemical Lab Technician – Spartanburg, SC
Pay: $23.25/hr
Schedule:
Primarily Day Shift (7a–7p), 12-hr Day shift mostly with occasional night shift and OT
Occasional Night Shift (7p–7a)
4 days on / 4 days off
Key Responsibilities
Conduct analytical testing using lab instruments and techniques
Interpret results and communicate findings to production teams
Approve raw materials and finished products based on specifications
Maintain accurate records of lab data
Perform routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping
Operate lab equipment safely and efficiently
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of industrial experience
Prior lab experience with equipment, procedures, and testing methods
Basic understanding of chemistry and math
Familiarity with the metric system
Ability to distinguish colors relevant to testing
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards
Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
Proven track record of safety and job performance
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand/walk on hard surfaces for extended periods
Reach overhead and perform tasks with arms extended
Bend, squat, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
Willingness to wear required PPE, including face shield
