Warehouse Administrative Assistant

Must have SAP or Oracle experience

Location: Katy, TX

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Construction company is looking for an experienced Warehouse Admin Assistant to join our fast-growing construction equipment team.

The Warehouse Admin will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with any and all warehouse projects to increase its functionality, increase inventory accuracy and lower delivery times. This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must have SAP or Oracle experience. This is a must for success.

Job Duties

• Assist Warehouse Manager with all paperwork related to warehouse shipping and receiving.
• Using SAP, enter orders, and other shipping information.
• Assist with shipping and receiving, checking merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Review, Label and Organize small parts on automated storage machines
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have SAP or Oracle experience
• Must have strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Email

Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability - Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current drivers' license.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
