Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician
We are currently seeking a Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician for an opportunity within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in SoCal, with ability to travel within San Diego, Los Angeles and San Bernadino sites.
Position Summary
As a Solar O&M Tech you will be required to effectively perform regular maintenance, PM’s, and ensure overall health of the solar farms assigned.
Essential Functions
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and PM's of equipment.
• Follow work orders in CMMS and make sure everything is filled out properly, is clear about the site issue and the repair.
• Work with team members and make sure we have the correct equipment on the jobs, and make sure that testing and calibration is performed when needed.
• Work in a safe manner, must wear all required PPE and use safety gear needed on site.
Knowledge – Skills - Abilities
• Valid Driver's License
• 1+ years of utility solar/electrical construction experience
• OSHA 30
• NFPA 70E
• Knowledge of MV equipment
• Knowledge of solar equipment inverters, optimizers, transformer, tracking systems, das cabinets
• Have great communication skills and good use of computers
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off shift hours and weekends.
Schedule: Typical day will run from 8am to 5-5:30pm but will require ability to stay later to complete the job, work OT and weekends as needed.
