Perform general laborer duties such as pickup and delivery of materials, shop cleanup, operating and fueling equipment, and supporting shop craftsmen as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate a forklift. • Fuel vehicles and equipment. • Deliver and pick-up tools, equipment, and materials to and from the shop, jobsites, and vendors. • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site. • Prepares parts for inspection. • Load and unload freight shipments. • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew. • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew. • Other duties as required.
Minimum Education/Training/ Experience: • High school diploma or GED Equivalent. Vocational school a plus. • Must possess a basic understanding of measuring tools commonly used in the industry. • Must have familiarity with a large variety of hand and power tools. • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items. • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and written. • Ability to read and understand safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment, and methods and procedures in operations sheets and hand sketches.
