Overview:
Refrigeration Technicians will diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of truck and trailer refrigeration equipment as well as perform PM maintenance on equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
• Perform all levels of maintenance services, with the primary focus on commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
• Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and the industry specific test equipment
• Read schematics associated with the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Identify warrant-able repairs and document on repair order
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
• Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, and jacks and hoists.
Qualifications
• 3 to 5 year’s practical experience with refrigeration equipment.
Or specialized training and experience with refrigeration components
• 608/609 certifications preferred Proficiency in the use of all necessary tools of trade required
