Job Title: Quality Tech
Location: Fountain Inn, SC
Industry: Injection Molding
Pay: $18 / hour
Shift: 3rd Shift: 11 pm – 7:30 am, Sunday – Thursday

Job Description and Responsibilities
• Assist in CMM lab
• Identify conformity and non-conformity of the materials and products
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Sample products to determine whether they meet specifications and quality standards and take corrective action if necessary.
• Support company departments/functions in continuous improvement activities
• Work within the defined Quality Management System to ensure continued compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Analyze quality assurance data and make recommendations for improvements
• Train and assist operators to carry out their quality control functions
• Check details of assemblies
• Compile reports
• Perform product and layered audits
• Ability to read blueprints
• Statistically analyze quality data/results to facilitate problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Support and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant, including participating in 8D teams, Kaizen events, and 5S improvement.
• Assist in the investigation and determination of root causes and corrective actions for customer complaints and internal issues.
• Assist in the evaluation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with TS-16949, customer requirements, and company procedures, instructions, and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Attention to detail
• Able to follow written procedures with extreme accuracy and work independently with little supervision and minimal direction
• Knowledge of caliper, micrometer, pin gages, and gage blocks
• Understanding of injection molding.
• Excellent communication skills externally and internally, both verbal and written
• Strong team player.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems, Statistical Process Control, and blueprint reading
• Past experience working with Quality Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year in a manufacturing environment

Professional Experience / Qualifications
• Experience as a Quality Inspector – at least two years
• Experience in manufacturing production
• Experience in Microsoft programs (excel, email, and good computer skills)
• Calipers, tape measure, and SPC experience
• Able to follow an inspection plan.
• Injection Molding is always a PLUS.
