Job Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Warranty Specialist is telephone and internet- based support for internal and external clients on technology and business issues. The Warranty Specialist supports inspection tasks and activities for warranty claims to help the organization resolve issues and discover cost saving alternatives.
Job Duties:
• Being a point of contact for those who have sent in claims
• Assessing and then organizing and filling out paperwork pertaining to claims
• Maintaining accurate and thorough records of warranty claims and status of investigations.
• Ensuring correct filing and storage of paperwork and records in case it is needed at a later date
• Being in contact with any engineering or technical teams to schedule work carried out as part of a claim.
• Arranging for delivery of parts or replacement items if a claim requires it.
• Following procedures for policy settlements for equipment out of warranty.
• Develop an organizational system for yourself that allows you to be efficient and responsive.
• Occasionally meet customers who have a number of open claims.
Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Documentation skills
• Organizational ability
• IT skills
• Good level of numeracy
• Korean language skills strongly preferred
Qualifications:
A four year degree from an accredited college or university is beneficial. Engineering experience is preferred. Advanced computer and/or customer service skills are a distinct benefit as they are important elements of warranty work. Must be authorized to work in the United States or have the ability to obtain authorization.
