TRS Craft Services have an immediate need for a contract to hire Maintenance Technician in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Maintenance Technician Job Summary • Provide preventative maintenance for all company tools, equipment, trucks, carts, forklifts, and the facilities. • Read equipment literature and provide troubleshooting. • Search replacement parts, order through the office and replace them when received. • Participate in mechanical assembly process of the production if necessary. • Keep work areas organized, safe, and clean in appearance. • Be able to multi-task through a variety of tasks. Essential Job Functions • Successfully reads and understands schematics for various types of equipment. • Must be able to use a large variety of small hand tools such as screwdrivers, socket wrenches, torque wrenches, and must be able to use mechanical measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. • Trouble shoots tools and equipment mechanically and electrically, then repairs them. • Preventative checkups and maintenance of company trucks. • Preventative checkups and maintenance of forklifts. • Equipment preventative checkups and maintenance. • Equipment maintenance as needed: tools, welding machines, compressors, etc. • Perform maintenance area inventory checks regularly, to ensure proper organization and effective workflow. • Facilities repairs as directed (electric plugs, fuses, plumbing, doors, lights, housekeeping, roof, A/C units, concrete repairs, etc.). • Constantly check for repair needs of the facility, and perform necessary repairs. Qualifications • Must have at least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or mechanical equipment maintenance. • Must be able to interpret and layout jobs based on mechanical design. • Must own their tools. • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, properly. • Must be willing to work overtime as needed. • Must possess quality communication and interpersonal skills. • Must possess sound problem-solving skills. • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. • Must be able to work well with minimal supervision. • Must exercise team effort to achieve success. • Must demonstrate respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors and customers. • Must be able to understand and follow instructions. • Must fully understand and adhere to maintenance, safety, and quality processes and procedures. • Must be able to maintain a good attendance record. Must be able to travel.
