Job Title: Assembly Machine Operator – Production
Location: Fountain Inn, SC
Industry: Injection Molding
Pay and Shifts:
• 1st Shift: 7 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday
• 2nd Shift: 3 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Job Description and Responsibilities
• Assemble a variety of plastic parts: automotive parts to prescribed specifications.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation
• Perform all required job functions in a safe manner consistent with plant safety standards.
• Meet or exceed time standards for the particular operation being performed.
• Perform required paperwork such as quality checks, parts requests, etc., for the particular
• operation being performed.
• Perform necessary material handling duties required by the operation.
• Perform any necessary line/product changes or preventative maintenance required by the
• operation.
• Work together and communicate daily with fellow associates about operation and safety
• issues
• Repair non-conforming parts by following “Rework Procedures”.
• Assist leaders (set-up persons) in machine set up.
• Participate in problem-solving process.
• Participate in “Continuous Improvement Process”
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year in the manufacturing environment
Professional Experience / Qualifications
• Basic understanding of sound manufacturing processes, plant safety and environmental regulations. The Labor Grade within this Job Classification is dependent on experience, knowledge, responsibility, performance, dependability and job complexity. Must be able to work flexible working hours.
• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing acuity – far and near, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation, color vision
