Job Description: Low Boy Driver - CDL A

Position Title: Truck Driver (CDL A – Lowboy)
Location: Moncks Corner, SC
Reports To: Foreman / Superintendent
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver to safely transport heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites. This role primarily involves lowboy hauling, supporting our field crews across multiple project locations.
This is a hands-on, field-support role that requires attention to safety, equipment care, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CDL Class A vehicles, including lowboy trailers, to transport heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.)
  • Safely load, secure, and unload equipment in accordance with DOT and company standards
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues
  • Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and dispatch to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment
  • Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols
  • Assist with basic equipment checks and job site support as needed


Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A license (required)
  • Lowboy hauling experience (required)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate and secure heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and load securement
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hazmat endorsement (preferred, not required)
  • Experience in construction or heavy civil environments
  • Familiarity with multiple job site locations and routes

Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoor and field-based
  • Travel between job sites required
  • Physical demands include climbing, securing loads, and working around heavy equipment
