Junior Graphic Designer
About the Role We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our design team and help us in producing high-quality design projects. The ideal candidate in this role should have knowledge in graphic design, styles and layout techniques and have experience with execution of packaging design. Candidate will be a creative, organized individual with a positive attitude, a stellar work ethic, and an eagerness to learn and grow with our fast-growing company.
What you will do (Essential Functions) • Support all design projects, from conception to delivery • Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software • Review Client’s art to assess its readiness for print • Set up Client’s art onto dielines for production • Review manufacturer’s proofs for issues and inconsistencies • Create and send proofs to Clients for customized products • Collaborate within a team to complete larger-scale projects • Manage workflow to meet deadlines • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, which can contain multiple products • Ability to work independently with little direction • Liaise with sales, PM, and design teams to ensure deadlines are met • Create realistic packaging mockups to illustrate a finished product • Support high-priority internal projects • Ability to work independently with limited direction • Maintain QC procedures for all incoming product, as well as production-line products. • Assist in the creation of procedures for former and current processes • Support creation of inhouse apparel, promotional materials and signage • Listening to feedback to hone skills to improve design and produce quality work • Understand project requirements and concepts • Use the best design methods, applications, software and techniques to work on the project.
Who you are (Qualifications) • Prior experience as a junior designer; • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or related discipline • Strong organizational skills • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills • Meticulous attention to detail • Creative problem-solving skills • Adaptive design eye and skill • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from colleagues and Clients. • Strong work ethic • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team • Resourceful
Knowledge of • Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop) • Design trends • Product design • Package design • Dimensions and specifications • Proofs • Hand Drawing Skills
Physical Standards • This position requires frequent sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and operating a computer workstation • Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key • This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds • Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less
