We are looking for a motivated, talented HR Generalist wanting to work at our manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, SC. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for working closely with other HR team members to support operations, projects and business initiatives.
Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Major focus will be on recruiting. Recruiting goals will be established and measured for success
- Support site and business strategies, initiatives and objectives
- Heavy emphasis on recruitment including career fairs, retention & employee engagement activities
- Support and assist in the management of all aspects of the human resources function including salary administration, policies and procedures, performance management, payroll and benefits, recruitment, training and development, reward and talent management systems
- Jointly with the HR manager, oversight and responsibility for legal compliance covering EEO, AAP, FMLA and leave administration, 5500s and other compliance reporting and activities
- Oversight and responsibility for sanctioned manning levels and site staffing strategies
- Payroll and benefits support as needed
- Responsibility for HR compliance calendar and records retention
- Assist with planning, developing and implementing the overall salary administration program and compensation strategy of total rewards
- Help develop and implement policies and procedures related to the function of recruitment and training and development
- In tandem with HR Manager, conduct an employee relations program ensuring confidentiality, counseling, sound coaching and interaction for high employee engagement
- Serve as a role model for our values and behaviors
Perform other related duties as assigned and needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, presentation and strong facilitation and people skills
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees with ability to exercise good sound judgment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong working knowledge of HR and payroll best practices, policies, programs, compliance regulations and applicable laws
- Proven knowledge of inner workings of payroll systems and HRIS systems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, woven with high integrity and trust
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
- Working knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems
5+ years of in-depth manufacturing industry in a human resources generalist role - Demonstrated skills as Excel power user
- Preferred - Work Experience, Skills and Education:
SPHR, PHR and APA certifications preferred
