Recruiting experienced High Voltage Electrician for immediate need in Burlington, Vermont for long term project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Complies with all client safety requirements and programs .

· Wears all required PPE

· Performs high voltage operations & maintenance technician duties as directed.

· Perform preventive maintenance and testing on high voltage equipment and infrastructure.

· Respond to and assist with problems with the primary power distribution system.

· Test, remove, install substation breakers.

· Implement approved switching procedures as a qualified switch person in a safe and efficient manner with full regard for employee & equipment safety and continuous operations.

· Perform equipment and system testing during construction and acceptance of electrical equipment changes associated with construction work, including new installations, changes, and removals. This includes 15KV cables, unit substations, etc.

· Provide assistance in maintaining files and records of related electrical equipment.

· Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

· Experience: minimum 2 years in maintenance industry required

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent

· License: Journeyman Electrician license required at a minimum

· Knowledge & experience in the operation & maintenance of high voltage distribution systems

· Ability to work well with others

· Ability to complete heavy physical labor (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 40 lbs.)
