Located: Greenville, SC
Salary: $19
Hours: 1st shift - 7:00am-5:30pm Monday - Friday
overtime opportunities for employees to work Friday’s depending on the workload
Assists the electrician by performing tasks like drilling holes, pulling wires, and preparing materials for installation. Also help with maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of electrical equipment and work areas.
Essential Functions:
- assist with the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, and electrical components.
- measuring, cutting, bending, and preparing wires and conduit for installation.
- transport and organize tools, materials, and equipment needed for the job.
- assist with troubleshooting simple electrical problems, performing routine maintenance, and cleaning equipment.
- must follow safety procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and ensure all work complies with electrical codes and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and cleaning up equipment and materials after the job is completed.
- Will learn from experienced electricians and gain skills in electrical practices and techniques.
Competencies:
- The job requires some physical strength and dexterity, especially when pulling wires, lifting materials, and working in confined spaces.
- Accurate measurements, cutting, and wiring are essential.
- Clear communication and the ability to follow instructions precisely are important.
- Be eager to learn and gain experience in the electrical trade. Demonstrate flexibility and accept change
- Must be detail
- Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A “Can Do”
- Can build relationships with project teammates and trade
Work Environment:
- This position is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned.
- Exposure to weather, heat, etc. is expected.
