We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for a 3PL company here in the Charleston area. We are looking for a someone that is looking to grow with a company and in their career. Please review the job description below and apply today with an updated resume for consideration.
This is a 1st shift FULL TIME opportunity. Schedule is Monday - Friday with at start time of 6:30am. 1 mandatory Saturday shift is required. You must be able to work at least one Saturday shift a month to be considered for the opportunity.
Qualifications • 2-3 years of warehouse experience and Supervisory • Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPIs) • Computer literacy in word, excel and PowerPoint • Implementing 6S • Forklift certified • OSHA training requirements experience • Planning and scheduling skills • Good communication skills • Good team Building skills • Verbal and written communications skills • Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
Education and Experience • 1-2 years experience in shipping and receiving department preferred • High school/GED is required • Preferred Associates Degree
Job Description • Maintain proper operational adherence to company’s SOP’s attendance policies and safety program • Maintain standards of health and security • Keep stock control system up to date and accurate inventory • Plan future capacity requirements • Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution • Ensures production and quality requirements are met according to customer standards • Produce regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis • Manage and plan reduction on daily warehouse material cost • Maintain and ensure high standards of safety throughout operations • Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met • Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress • Delivering, fulfilling objectives and directions from upper management • Ensure timely delivery of product to customer’s facility • Direct warehouse housekeeping to assure cleanliness and order. • Communicate with customer regarding specific needs relating to deliveries • Schedule pick up and deliveries with customer and related suppliers
