We are currently seeking Install/Assembly Techs for a Vehicle Fabrication Client in the Ladson, SC area. If you are interested in a great career opportunity with room for growth then read the job description below and apply TODAY with an updated resume.
General Description:
This person will be required to install service bodies, platforms, dumps and van packages, hoists, electrical components and circuits, Sorting units, ladder racks and other light mechanical assembly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Meet production standards
2. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
3. Positive attitude and willing to learn
4. Progressive assembly line capabilities
5. Work safely in a production environment wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
6. Regular and predictable attendance
7. Ability to interact well with others
8. Strong mechanical background
9. Ability to read schematics, diagrams and blueprints
Preferred Experience and Training:
1. Previous work in an assembly and/or manufacturing environment
2. Previous experience in the truck equipment industry or similar industry
3. Previous experience working against timed job standards and a proven record of being able to meet completion standards
4. Attention to detail in every aspect of the job
5. Able to maintain a neat, clean and organized work area
6. Ability to complete jobs from start to finish, with little supervision
7. Capability to produce quality and timely work
8. Willingness to learn company taught welding skills
9. Ability to troubleshoot and determine the best possible way to accurately build custom orders
10. Ideal candidate will be familiar with automotive builds, repairs, etc.
11. ASE Certification a strong plus, though not required
Equipment, Tools Used to Perform the Essential/Preferred Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Hand tools – pneumatic and battery operated
2. Cutting torch
3. Overhead Cranes
4. Grinders
5. Plasma Cutter
Physical Requirements:
1. Normal standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary to perform job duties
2. Use of hand and power tools
3. Exposed to normal seasonal temperatures
4. Lifting/moving up to 75 pounds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. A normal work week consists of 40 hours. The standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.
Education Requirement:
High School or GED
