The overall duties of a Continuous Improvement Engineer Include:
- Lead process improvement teams to achieve desired results
- Mentor associates in lean principles and methodologies.
- Provide information and technical support to plant management as needed.
- Advocate changes in culture needed to drive continuous improvement; sometimes called upon to be a contrarian voice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and presents those opportunities to department heads for consideration and action.
- Must adhere to all Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Characteristics:
- Demonstrates strong personal organization practices
- Demonstrates proficiency in project management driving efficiency and waste elimination
- Deadline-oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects
- Able to lead cross-functional teams
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical thinker with above average problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes
- Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field, or
- 5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing organization
- Knowledgeable of TPS (Toyota Production System) principles of Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledgeable of Toyota Kata
