Position Description
The overall duties of a Continuous Improvement Engineer Include:
Lead process improvement teams to achieve desired results
Mentor associates in lean principles and methodologies.
Provide information and technical support to plant management as needed.
Advocate changes in culture needed to drive continuous improvement; sometimes called upon to be a contrarian voice.
Identify opportunities for improvement and presents those opportunities to department heads for consideration and action.
Must adhere to all Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Position Requirements
Characteristics:
Demonstrates strong personal organization practices
Demonstrates proficiency in project management driving efficiency and waste elimination
Deadline-oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects
Able to lead cross-functional teams
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Analytical thinker with above average problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes
Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors
Education and Technology:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field, or
5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing organization
Knowledgeable of TPS (Toyota Production System) principles of Lean Manufacturing
Knowledgeable of Toyota Kata
